Welcome to Zyppo ("we," "our," or "us"). Zyppo is an on-demand multi-service platform providing food delivery, grocery shopping, and parcel courier services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services. It is designed to comply with global privacy standards, Indian Information Technology (IT) Rules, and Google Play Developer Policies (including the User Data and Data Safety requirements).
1. Information We Collect
To fulfill on-demand orders and deliveries, we collect personal and sensitive user data:
A. Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: Name, mobile phone number, email address, password, and profile details.
Delivery & Address Details: Home/work addresses, delivery instructions, recipient names, and drop-off contact numbers for parcel delivery.
Payment Information: Payment card tokens, UPI transaction references, transaction IDs, and billing details (payment processing is handled directly by PCI-DSS certified payment gateways; Zyppo does not store full credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs).
Parcel Declarations: Description, package category, and weight/size estimations of items sent via our parcel delivery service.
Communications: Customer support chats, delivery feedback, and service ratings.
B. Information Collected Automatically
Precise & Approximate Location: We collect real-time location data from your mobile device when the App is running in the foreground (open on screen) to display nearby restaurants/stores, calculate delivery fees, and auto-detect pick-up/drop-off addresses. If permission is granted, location may also be accessed while tracking an active delivery in progress.
Device & App Identifiers: Device model, operating system version, IP address, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID), and crash analytics data.
C. Permissions Requested
Location (Foreground): Required to locate delivery addresses and assign nearby delivery partners.
Camera / Photos (Optional): Used when uploading package images for parcel verification, damaged goods claims, or setting a profile picture.
Contacts (Optional): Only accessed if you explicitly choose to select a parcel recipient directly from your phone book (never collected without active selection).
Notifications: To deliver status alerts regarding your food, grocery, or parcel orders.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process user data strictly for app functionality and order fulfillment:
Fulfillment: Processing food and grocery orders from partner merchants and scheduling parcel couriers.
Live Tracking & Logistics: Calculating routes, estimated arrival times (ETA), and facilitating handover between drivers and customers.
Customer Support: Resolving failed deliveries, refunds, or damaged order disputes.
Safety & Fraud Prevention: Detecting fraudulent accounts, spam, and unauthorized transactions.
Service Updates: Sending automated transactional SMS/push notifications concerning live order status.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared strictly as necessary to execute deliveries:
Delivery Partners (Couriers): We share your name, delivery address, phone number (or masked phone number), and drop-off notes so the driver can complete delivery.
Merchant Partners (Restaurants & Grocery Stores): We share ordered items, delivery notes, and first name to prepare orders.
Third-Party Service Providers: Trusted partners providing SMS gateways, payment processing, cloud hosting, and mapping/navigation APIs (e.g., Google Maps Platform).
Legal Compliance: When mandated by applicable law, court order, or official government authority.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using modern cryptography (HTTPS / TLS 1.3).
Sensitive payment transactions are tokenized via PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.
Access to user personal data within Zyppo is restricted to authorized personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.
5. Account and Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
In compliance with Google Play's User Data policy, users have full control over their personal data and account deletion:
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account at any time by navigating to Profile > Settings > Account Security > Delete Account.
Support / Email Deletion Request: If you have uninstalled the App or cannot access your account, you can submit a deletion request by emailing us directly at [support@zyppo.online](mailto:support@zyppo.online) with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Retention Policy: Upon account deletion, all personal data, saved addresses, and active payment tokens are permanently deleted from our primary servers. Basic transaction invoices may be retained in cold storage for a limited period solely as required to comply with statutory tax and accounting laws.
6. Children’s Privacy
Zyppo is intended for general audiences aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 depending on local jurisdiction). If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material modifications, we will notify you through an in-app notice, push notification, or updated "Effective Date" at the top of this document prior to the change taking effect.
